The famous Sherwood forest
2005-11-15
Last weekend I went on a photography spree at the famous Sherwood Forest - Home of Robin Hood. You can see some of the photos here: My Sherwood photos Please comment on them if you have the time.
Like all cool places around the world, Sherwood forest is shrinking. In fact, it is a mere shadow of what it once was. Still, it was a nice day out. The weather last weekend was unbelievable, as the photos show. I'll take sunny and low teens over -7 and snowy in Calgary.
After the forest, we went to Ruffington Abbey which was hosting a Christmas market. After a quick pint we made our way back to Nottingham and participated in a marathon Jenga game with our pal Kenny. Kenny sucks at Jenga, Kate and I kicked his ass. He blamed it on the wine.
Sunday, our friends Rob and Emma from upstairs invited us up for a Sunday lunch consisting of a pork roast and parsnips marinated in coca cola. It was awesome, finished the weekend off by seeing "The Constant Gardener". Good movie. Great weekend.
